Products and Results

ASSESS PLUS project includes the following elements of innovation, combining ICT based and mobile technologies with tailor made assessment methods to support Skills Audits in adult education:

1. An innovative and unexampled European framework of Competences in Skills Audits for Adult Education (IO1), defining for the first time the competencies, knowledge and skills needed to support skills audits in adult education through digital tools. This will allow counsellors, guidance personnel, assessors and practitioners involved with validation to facilitate low-skilled and low-qualified adults with access to upskilling pathways by making available skills identification and screening through digital tools. The EFC will be designed following European frameworks of references, such as EQF and ECVET, in order to facilitate the recognition and validation of learning outcomes in VET and foster mobility in Europe. For more information download the framework.

2. The ASSESS PLUS Virtual CAMPUS (IO2), a multilingual ICT based training hub and platform including different elements of innovation: (i) an Online Instructional Guide on Digital Competencies for Virtual Learning, designed to improve the digital skills of counsellors, guidance personnel, assessors and practitioners in validation and to facilitate the interaction with Virtual learning environments; (ii) a set of structured Training Modules and (iii) VET Open Online Courses (VOOC) addressed to counsellors, guidance personnel, assessors and practitioners involved with validation, organized in areas, levels and units. The Virtual CAMPUS will contain OER including training contents, practical activities and assessment methods to be used by counsellors, guidance personnel, assessors and practitioners on validation to support Skills Audits in Adult Education.

3. A Mobile Assessment App for Skills Audits (IO3), a practical and innovative ICT-based tool designed to evaluate competences on Skills Audits in Adult Education included in the European Framework of Reference. The Mobile Assessment App will be an innovative assessment tool to evaluate the acquisition of the competences needed to carry out skills audits for disadvantaged adults in to be used in counselling, guidance and training programmes. It will be designed following the instructions and guidance described in Virtual CAMPUS (IO2) and will be tested during the pilot phase with students.

4. Guidelines to promote transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications through Skills Audits in Adult Education (IO4), a new instrument designed to facilitate recognition, validation and upskilling pathways. It will encourage transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications on Skills Audits in Adult Education. The Guidelines will be aligned with other European transparency and recognition instruments, such as ECVET, EQAVET, EQF or Europass. It will be a policy instrument to support the exploitation strategy of the project and to mainstream the project results, in particular the European framework of Competences of reference in Skills Audits for Adult Education. It will integrate other results and outputs of the project, including the assessment methods designed in the Virtual CAMPUS, the Mobile Assessment App and the lessons learned during the pilot phase. The Guidelines is addressed to policy makers, adult educational institutions and providers, companies, intermediary bodies and entities active in career guidance, counselling and validation.
